Each piece of wood is carefully selected to produce the best engraved  image. 
Reverse side has pet data such as date of birth, date you owned the pet, date of passing (if applicable), your favorite thing to remember about your pet, or any other info you’d like to add.
The final artwork is approved by you before it goes into production mode. The finished wood is smoothed and then treated with a lacquer to seal and protect it for many years to come. 
It hangs on a rope, adorned with beautiful wooden beads.  It’s then packaged in a beautiful box and shipped off to you.
